Add an Image Background Color Online
Choose a solid color behind transparent image regions and around the frame, or preview an image against a website background.

How to use background color
- Open your image and select Frame → Background. Add padding if you want the color visible outside the image.
- Uncheck Transparent to include the selected background in the exported image. With Transparent checked, the color only simulates the website behind the image.
- Choose a color with the color picker and inspect the preview. Export to save the finished composition.
What to know
Background color fills transparent areas and frame space. It does not remove an existing opaque background or isolate the subject of a photograph.
Files and export
Open a PNG, JPEG, or WebP with the file picker, drag-and-drop, or clipboard paste. All image processing happens on your device. Choose PNG or WebP to preserve transparency, or JPEG to flatten it onto a color. Exports use the original image resolution plus the frame unless you choose a smaller size.
A modern browser with WebGL2 is required. Browser and GPU limits can prevent very large exports; picshader explains the limit and offers a smaller size. No account or watermark is required.
